Friday night - 7ish. First time here, and not our last. If the place has been here for 50 years, they must be doing something right. Andrew was our server, he was very attentive, gave good suggestions, and took great care of our party of 2. We loved the old school look of the place. It was too dark to see the lake so we'll go during the day for the best views. Food was hot and fresh, and the hushpuppies were phenomenal. Everyone we encountered during our visit was helpful and pleasant.

The food was very good and definitely the highlight of the visit. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome at all times. The atmosphere is calm and allows for easy conversation, especially if you are not very demanding. However, the first impression could be improved, as the place looks somewhat old and would benefit from renovation. Considering how popular this location is and the beautiful view of the lake, investing in the facilities would greatly enhance the overall experience. One important detail to keep in mind is that they only accept cash or checks, so it is best to come prepared. Overall, it is a good place with strong potential to be even better.

So, #1 it is a Cash Only business! 2, you can get your items broiled instead of deep fried, but otherwise everything is fried unless you ask. Portions are good sized. Catfish and large shrimp were good. Perch was too fishy for us. April was a fantastic server, ask for her. Beautiful view and good prices.

Our 1st time here. From seeing the parking lot, er thought it would be a long wait. The restaurant is quite large and we were at our table within just a few minutes. Our server was very friendly, attentive and she thought ahead... we would be fortunate to sit in her section in the future. The food was good. All ordered seafood - the fried scallops were a little overcooked, fried oysters & flounder - perfect. Hush puppies are delicious and next time I will order 'to-go' slaw so I can have it at home. The decor & seats could use an update though, seriously. I am not saying it is so dirty... but a deep clean & maybe fresh paint would help?... We look forward to having our next plate of fish with y'all!
